Stacey Rupolo (she/her), LCSW

As someone who changed career paths in becoming a therapist, I know what it means to live paycheck to paycheck, nurture creative ambitions, grapple with imposter syndrome, and let go of an old identity in pursuit of new opportunities and personal growth. I believe everyone deserves a source of patience, understanding, and unconditional positive regard in their life. You can’t heal a person with broken systems, which is why I’m a fierce abolitionist, committed anti-racist practitioner, and humble lifelong learner.

I practice from a trauma-informed and client-centered approach, which means that I look to you as the expert on your lived experience. My approach is flexible, sometimes direct and active, and sometimes not, depending on what you need. I am trained in EMDR, level 1 of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, and Gottman Couples Therapy. I utilize concepts of parts work/Internal Family Systems (IFS), relational approaches, and my sense of humor to support people experiencing mood disturbances, relationship problems, life transitions, grief/loss, and complex trauma. Our bodies are in therapy too, so I employ somatic approaches to move toward full embodiment and enjoyment of feeling.
